Privacy Policy

Audify Tech Private Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates the Riff mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Information collected automatically:

• Device Identifier — A randomly generated ID (install ID) created when you first open the app. Unless you sign in with Google, it is not linked to your name, email address or phone number.
• Usage Data — Songs you create, play counts, styles you prefer, and creation streaks. Used to personalize your experience.
• Referral Codes — If you share or enter a referral code, we store the code and the referral relationship to award credits.
• Device Information — Device type, operating system version, language, and country (from SIM card or device locale). Used to personalize content.
• Crash and error reports — If the app crashes or something fails, a report with the device model, Android version, app version, the error and a short log of recent warnings is sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) so we can fix it.
• App analytics — Firebase Analytics (Google) records how the app is used, for example which styles are chosen and whether songs are shared. It does not use your device's advertising ID.

Information you choose to give:

• Google sign-in — If you sign in with Google to back up your songs and credits, we store your Google account ID and your first name. Your first name is shown to other Riff users with your songs (in Friends and Discover), and to people who open a song or invite you share. We do not store your email address or profile photo.
• Song dedications — If you say who a song is for (a name and an occasion), it is stored with the song and shown to the people you share the song with.

Information we do NOT collect:

• Your email address or phone number
• Your full name (only the first name of a Google account you sign in with)
• Your contacts or address book
• Your location (GPS)
• Photos, files, or other personal media

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the song creation experience
• To track your credit balance and creation streaks, and to back them up if you sign in
• To enable the referral program (matching referral codes between users)
• To show relevant content in the Friends feed, with the first name of the person who made each song
• To improve the App and fix crashes and bugs

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We use these service providers:

• Cloudflare — Our hosting provider that processes API requests and stores song files
• Google Play — For in-app purchases and billing
• Google Firebase — Crash reports (Crashlytics) and app analytics

Other Riff users can see your first name and your songs as described in section 1.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored on Cloudflare's globally distributed infrastructure with encryption at rest
• All API communication uses HTTPS (TLS 1.3)
• Unless you sign in with Google, your data is linked only to a random device identifier, not to your name or contact details

5. Data Retention

We keep your data while you use the App. Accounts that are not used for 12 months are deleted from our servers, including their Google backup. If you delete your account, it is deleted at once from the app, or within 7 days of a request on our website. Crash reports are kept by Firebase for up to 90 days. Anonymous totals, such as how often a song has been played, are kept. Songs saved on your phone stay there until you uninstall the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your data — In the App, go to Profile, tap the settings icon, then Delete account. You can also request deletion at riff-api.audifytech.workers.dev/delete-account with your referral code.
• Opt out of notifications — Disable notifications in your device settings.
• Request your data — Contact us at the email below with your referral code to request a copy of the data associated with your account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
